Horizon Maraba is located in the hills of Southern Rwanda, not too far from the Burundian border. Sharing the same owner as Horizon Supreme, the owner’s mission is to provide support where it is most needed. The station had not been operating for several year before he acquired it. 2023 was the first season he operated the mill. His focus was to renovate the mill for proper handling and quality processing, in addition to rebuilding trust among the farming community. He has already set up a nursery to distribute over 20K coffee seedling this year and will be introducing agronomy trainings to the farmers supplying to his station. The high altitude of the area coupled with the long coffee history in the area, Horizon Maraba produces some of the best coffees in Rwanda.
