Guatemala - El Mirador
This coffee has notes of honeycrisp apple, brown sugar, and vanilla ice cream with a silky body and balanced acidity.
Without a doubt, the department of Huehuetenango has a superb variety of wildlife, biomasses, microclimates, and foothills of nutrient rich soils covered by volcanic ashes, and this is where the farms that make up this coffee blend are nestled. Each farm in this region is naturally a lookout or “Mirador” with altitudes ranging from 1,400 to 2,000 m.a.s.l.
The twelve medium to small-scale coffee growers, who proudly contribute to the El Mirador blend, have come together by what seems like a superior force. They are producers that are characterized by unrivaled work, a passion for growing coffee and careful processing techniques – these characteristics have resulted in them uniting to be stronger together. These producers are always innovating and adapting at the farm level, inspiring each other to improve. This is reflected in rich, complex, and consistent coffees - some of the best in Guatemala - made possible through "Cuchumatán”.
Roasting Schedule: All coffee is roasted to order on Tuesdays and Thursdays
